I wish i would have known when i started that the transmission mounts were completely different on a 1973 compared to a 1974 thought it was going to be as siple as unbolting an auto and bolting in the four speed standard, but im going to have to fab trans mount, and transfer case mounts. not as simple as i thought. uhhhhg anyone else have to do this, and how did yours turn out?

 

you cant find the proper crossmember and mounts at a wrecking yard somewhere? it seems to me that the problem might not be the year but the fact that you are going from an auto to a standard, i dont know for sure but its very possible that everything to bolt a 4 sp in is totally diffrent than that of an automatic.
