1993 w150 engine stopped at 70mph
my truck cut off today going down the highway, found no blown fuses, checked for spark seems to be good. tried directly from coil and pulled a plug. Checked fuel pump getting voltage and seems to be running. Poured gas directly in and still would not fire. Suggestions?

Sounds like your truck got too hot or the thermostat stayed open and it never reached operating temp, I hope you didn't damage anything. Check your thermostat, temp sensor, radiator fluid, oil level, and inspect your radiator cap to see if it needs replacing. Was it cold where you were driving? Code 12 just means the battery was disconnected recently, code 55 means "end of code test" so that's nothing to worry about either.

I found I didn't have enough spark at the coil. Slammed in a new coil and did plugs wires and rotor cap kit while I was at it, fired right up. As far as the thermostat I found that the previous owner put a 160 in the truck. I also found a leak at the water pump. Got the new pump and stat in last night just gotta get some hose clamps and dump in some coolant

If you had a 160 thermostat that's why you got code 17. The computer will give that code if the truck doesn't go over 174 degrees within 8 minutes of operation. I'd suggest getting a 180 or 190 thermostat if you haven't already; I personally would try the 180 first. Remember to clear your codes and check them again for any more problems.
