'92 d250 brake switch problem
I had my mastercylinder replaced at a garage, and since then the brake switch won't stay seated. As you know it has a clip that catches the threads, and according to the Haynes manual, adjustment should be done with the nut. My truck has over 200k on it,and when it swings back after you step off, it seems to be knocking the switch back. Any suggestions for either eliminating the slack in the pedal, or securing the switch to make it withstand that kick back? I've considered a well placed spring to dampen the force, but don't want to create problems with brake drag. The problem is in the plastic switch slipping back within the metal bracket. The original one had the threads stripped from this problem, so I just replaced it. Problem persists.
