Default Blower Wiring?

87 Ram D150 heater blower only operates on lowest speed and is always on when Ign is in run position.
Battery voltage direct to blower motor gives high RPMs.
Is it likely the switch, or the resistor set (wherever THAT is located)?

Also, where is a good source of diagrams for wiring and vacuum controls on the heater and A/C systems? My vacuum lines were tasty for the mice...

Check the plugs/wiring on everything from the speed switch to the resistor. Sounds like something heated up and now doesn't have a connection. The resistor is mounted on the ac/heater box under the dash.
