Default can i use 17" wheels?

OK, I'll bite.
I recently bought a 1985 D150, 2wd, 318, short bed, automatic.
I want to lower it appx 2-4" in front and may be changing spindles or using van lowers.
I would like to use these rims on the truck: http://www.ebay.com/itm/OEM-Dodge-15...1UY9MJ&vxp=mtr

Will they fit with stock tires?

So at this moment you have 15",5on5.5 wheels with a 3.5" hub.
And you want to use a 17" wheel with a 3"hub.

moparborn -yes, I saw on the net some hub adapters, but they add about 1.5" to the width. I wasn't sure if somebody had used these stock Ram wheels in the past and there was a problem or not.

jkeaton -Sorry if my post was viewed as "Thread hijack", but I thought the question similar to the original posting, and it silly to post again with the same title.
It also appears that the original poster has abandoned the thread.
