Default wiper trans parts.

Wipers on my '81 quit, they came apart. Does anybody have a source for the plastic clips that hold them together where they pivot? Part# on old one is 32188 75.

I just looked at mine and did not like what I saw. Yours looks in better shape than mine do. I am also interested in a source for these clips/covers/retainers. Without a replacement on hand I hate to take mine off to see what the end of the shaft it fits on looks like. Racer9 could you take a picture and post same of the shaft without the linkage arm on and with the linkage arm in place? Looking at what I can see I am thinking maybe a c-clip might work as a replacement but I can't say for sure without seeing the shaft.

you can get the parts at any car parts store.it should be in the "help" aisle.it should be a few dollars.it is easy to put on but kinda of a pain at the same time.you will need a rubber hammer to push them on and i have heard use some kind of grease.it takes 3 pieces if you need all 3

I got mine a year ago or so from Napa. It was hard to describe, but luckily the smart people there knew what I was talking about.

Got them today, in stock (amazingly) at Cunningham Chrysler in Edinboro PA. $5.30ea. There are 4, I only got 3, the last one looked real good.

the wipers on my 83 haven't been working for a long time now...and since I'm daily driving it now, I thought it might be a good idea to fix it all. I got a new delay motor reman from Autozone (they're all Cardone rebuilds anyway) and it turns out the motor in my truck already works...long story but I thought it didn't.. So I'm gonna keep the reman motor for future...

anyway...I found that those little plastic clips were straight up missing, and I couldn't find any online, so what I'm going to do is actually grind a flat area on the bellcrank shafts and use shaft collars with set screws to hold it on and tight. I think that's a better fix than getting the original clips, IMHO.

so I guess we'll see.

That's what i get for staring at things on mcmaster carr's website.

When I replaced mine I took the shafts the wiper arms mount on off and removed all the linkage and assembled it on the work bench.
A lot easier than trying to work in the cowl opening.

Had to replace them on the 5th. ave. and D100 both.
Hope they last 21 years again this time!
