Wow l;ooks like alot of work. I think I would find out what you have drivetain wise, Pull the pligs and squirt some lub in the cylinders. Turn the motor over by hand. If it feels good, Then install some plugs, Check the points adn drainand flush the radiator. Check trans fluid. if that checks out, Them install a battery and drip a little fuel in the carb and see if it will fire up. if it does and seems to run OK then time for a carb rebuild and a brake flush. Check it out around the farm.

That is not a 440 engine. It is an LA, either 360 or 318.

Ya know what, I was pretty skeptical when I was told that it had a 440. Even in the dark it didn't really look like any 440 I've ever seen. The placement of the dist. should have been a dead giveaway but I was too busy looking at the floorboards (or the lack thereof) Thanks for pointing that out charlie1935. I'll find out tomorrow what it really is. Boy, what a let down, if it only has a 318 I think I'm gonna puke.

if the rockerpanels are solid and the doors don't drop then i would weld some new floors in. i they aren't solid i would look for a new cab. a new cab might be a little easier. specialy if you are missing interior part like the seat. i would also make sure that the frame is solid before you start doing any major work or spend too much money.

Well, the rocker panels are completely shot. If I stepped on one I'm sure they wouldn't hold my weight. I just plan on welding/riveting in a new floor. It doesn't have to look pretty at all, it just has to function. I have the seat assembly, it just doesn't have the bottom cushion. I'll probably just get a new cushion for it.

The frame is solid, that was the first thing we looked at. I'm not trying to do a complete restore. It doesn't have to ride comfortable or look decent or anything like that, all it has to do is run down our 1/2mi driveway a few times during the winter.

Your gonna have to completely drain everything (Liquid Wise) out of the truck.
Transmission Fluid,Oil,Water, gas,Everything, and put it new liquids.
That Carburetor is gonna need a rebuild almost for sure...and Wouldn't surprise me if you end up rebuilding the whole engine, after sitting that long...
You should first find out if that motor isn't seized and see if (With a Little work,of course) if you can get it to turn over.
Its probably a 360,But those 318s are very good Engines. My dad had 3 of them. (He blew the first one in his '89 Ram then went and put another one in it,and then he another Dodge that had a 318...)
