Unhappy Some wiring issues

Hello, have a 76 D100 pickup and trying to resolve some wiring issues inside the cab. None of my instrument cluster gauges work and neither do the lamps. The truck has been "tinkered" with before and has a new modern ac system in it. Have spent hours with a mulitmeter tracing wires and replacing fuses. Need some tips on what else I should do. Have also replaced the voltage regulator on the instrument cluster, about to replace the harness. Since the ac system was put in it was bypassed by the fuse block, do the instrument cluster lamps run of the ac fuse? I know they have an individual fuse but trying to check all options now. Any help would be apprieciated.

well I have the headlights working, the instrument cluster lights up but none of the gauges work still. Could it be the instrument cluster relay? Or should I keep tracing?

could be a bad connections between the wires and sending units. if thats not it there must be some bad wires under th hood somewhere.
