Unhappy Tint Issues

Anyone ever try to tint their own windows?

Yeah gave it a shot, didn't work out.

Yea I had the same experience... its a pain but there are a couple tricks of the trade. The guy that did my car put the tint on the outside of the windows and shrunk it to fit with a heat gun, then put it on the inside with your standard soapy water, etc. Shouldn't be as hard on an old truck because the windows don't curve 2 directions, that's where you run into the most problems.

Yeah ran down to the Autozone and picked up some Gila 20%.
Creased and bubbled the passenger side. Went back at it a couple hours later and did a decent job on the drivers window.

Hope the fix and rear go well.

Is soap and water better than the Gila app. spray?

It's essentially the same thing, if you got spray with a kit use it.

Agreed... templates or pre-cut tint will make it much easier on you.
