Personally myself, I don't like cheap tires, especially on a car my kid drives. These Goodyears even though I don't care fore certain goodyear like the HP's on my new Ram but these gy's are real nice and have a great rating for winter even. Chrysler should be reamed for the tires they put on at the factory and the price for these tires even at tire rack are 50 bucks cheaper than those garbage OEM Bridgestones.

I know the Goodyear Eagle GTIIs handled very well and I got nearly 80K on my set. I wish Chrysler would go back to Goodyear and get away from Bridgestone.

No not all Goodyears are good, especially the ones the factory gets all lowest end tires. My 09 RAM has crappy Goodyear HP poor ratings on these too.

I run 215/55/16 snow tires on factory 16" steelies. It's a 2008 Avenger SXT w/4 wheel disc and 18" rims. No fitment issues, tpms sensors work just fine, and no braking or handling problems. We went w/16's so we could get studded snows. We could find 17 and 18" snows, just nothing w/studs.

I think they use whatever is cheapest. My 07 Grand Caravan has Bridgestones, I think my 09 Caliber has Firestone and my 08 Ram has the famous Goodyear HP's.

Do you have 4 wheel disc brakes, if so I was lied to by someone.

Yes, I have the four wheel disc. The part #'s are the same for the rear brakes on the 2.7l and 3.5L models...didn't check on the awd version, didn't care. Probably the same.

I was told by the service manager at my dealer that 17's were as small as I could go. I check the part #'s, fitted the 16" space saver on the rear, and then gambled that a set of 16's would work. They do. I'd stay with the 18's for summer driving.

I don't think anyone intentionally lied to you, I think they just didn't know. I hope this helps.

Well since someone decided to hit my son in a parking lot, wheels are taking a back seat the new tires get 4's and 5's in the scoring for snow and ice at Tire Rack. They actually have great ratings all around. Only thing next time I am gonna buy them at Tire Rack at save my us a few hundred bucks. Now this little hit in the corner barely dinged the fend but need a heedlight assembly, does anyone have directions how to remove it? I might try to epoxy glue the parts that broke off. Only expensive part, but now we are finding problems, wheel is hitting some steel piece that pushes inner wheel well...instructions to remove that and outside fender....oh and one horn must live in that area cuz it quit. Is there one horn on each side of the car?
