Default 1998 Ram 2500 V10 Performance Parts?

I just bought a 98 Ram 2500 4x4 with the 8.0 V10 130,000 miles on it, I was wondering if there is any place you can find performance parts for this engine? I would love to find a programmer for it but so far I've had no luck, its like everyone just ignored the V10 in these trucks.

I guess there's just not that big of a market for it.

What kind of performance are you looking for in a 3/4 or 1 ton truck? It's 310 hp and 450 ft llbs torque stock. Get it breathing better with a cai and headers, and you have added another 20 hp, and 35 ft lbs of torque. The V10 Magnum will out perform any gasoline engine on the market when you understand what kind of performance it was designed to deliver. No, you will not go 0 to 60 in 5 seconds, nope, you will not get 20 mpg. Yes, you will ****** that Ford, Chevy or riceburner out of the mud without breathing hard. Yes, you will tow that 10,000 lb 5th wheel up that mountain easy as kiss my hand. It does what it does very well, but don't try to make it a hot rod.

I would really just love to find a programmer for it, I agree it does what it does best but I would like it to hold the gears a little longer and to raise the rev limiter a bit. I think it would do even better with a little smoothing around the edges. Of course if I could find a supercharger for it that would not hurt either

Torp74, what kind of exhaust does your truck have on it? Mine has true duals with no cats and some kind of off brand mufflers and it sounds like crap to me. I know that the v10 has a sound all its own but mine sounds too much like a v6 for me.

The programmer you need is the Jet. You can find it at Summit or Jegs.

Viper parts won't work, our V10 is a magnum engine, essentially a 360 with 2 extra cylinders. The viper is an Italian designed high rev high performance machine. The Magnum V10 produces maximum hp and torque at low rpms.

As far as my exhaust I have a single exhaust, dual flowmaster cats and a flowmaster 40 series muffler. it sounds fine to me, more importantly it gives me the back pressure needed to leverage all 450 ft lbs of torque to pull an 11,900 lb trailer.
