Default 285/75R16 Will they fit?

Im planing on buying tires for my 1998 dodge 1500 5.2 club cab 4x4. It currently has the stock 265 but they also come stock in 275's... Just wondering if 285's will fit with out hitting. They should be 33 inches.

Thanks ahead

32.7 inches to be exact. And yes. Might want to through a leveling kit on eventually.

A 285/75/16 is a 33x11.5" tire. A 255/85/16 is a 33x10.5" tire. The 255 is usually an "E" rated tire, and might be a little harder to find. But it might give you a little more turning before you hit the lower control arms, and MIGHT be a little better fit for the factory 7" wide rims. Just an option I thought I'd throw out there; my 2 cents worth.

mine came stock with 245's and I have 285's on there now. They rub a tiny bit at full turn on the control arms but thats it... A leveling kit wouldn't change that any, wheel spacers or different offset rims would however...

Would the 285/75/r16 fit on my stock wheels? I have the Dodge sport ones. I have 265's on there now, but what's the biggest I can go?

as long as you have a 8" wide rim your good, i think you could prob fit them on a 7" too but 8 is better for sure.
