Default Oil leak - 2000 Dodge Caravan

Yesterday my 2000 Dodge Caravan 3L started to leak oil and drip along the road while the vehicle is running.

It seems to dripping from the fitting of one of the two lines going across the bottom of the engine (just below the catalytic converter).

I checked to see if oil was leaking from above and there's no way it is. I am 95% convinced it's coming from within the fitting. Maybe it's rusted and snapped, causing the oil leak? What is this line for? What is it called?

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!

Here's a picture.

Those are the power steering lines. remove the clamp and see if they have worn through or have rusted and cracked.

Thanks. I will check tomorrow.

For other folks out there, the bottom line is the Power Steering Fluid Pressure Hose, and the top one is the Power Steering Fluid Return Hose.

They've rusted and may have developed a crack. I cleaned it up so it's dry, turned on the van, moved the steering wheel for a few seconds, and it started leaking from the line.

Just checked now and it's empty.. could be some left in the lines as the steering wheel moves just fine.

I would recommend to replace both lines, because the other may start linking after you replace the line that is linking.

All I can find online is the pressure hose assembly but can't find the return hose assembly (not just the hose). Is there a part number for the hose assembly?

check rockauto.com
they have both p/s pressure hose assembly's and return hose assembly for the regular caravan, pic shows rubber tubes and metal line
EDELMANN Part # 92190 {Return Line Assembly}
Cut to fit
price 12.54

or give the dealer a call for the part numbers, then you can check out a few of the mopar websites
such as makeitmopar.com, or you can try calling them and they could look up your part with the last 8 of your Vin
