My 2002 1500 Ram's AC is blowing hot air when I'm stopped andengine idlingand cold air when I'm moving at speeds higher than 20 mph. Anybody know why?

Classic symptom of the A/C condensor fan not working. Open the hood and you'll see a mini radiator looking thingon the right with an electric fan behind it...the fan motor is probably shot. That fan should be on the whole time the a/c is on..

X3 but before anything else, check the AC condenser fan fuse in the fuse box.

Installed new condenser fan and ac blows cold air at all times!
Thanks fellows for the help!

Here are some tips for others needing to replace a condenser fan:

Condenser Fan part only price quotes:
Dealer: $187
Ebay (Heavy Duty Radiaters, Radpro, ebay user hmm20011): $90 delivered from Sarasota, FL

Installation:
Remove the 2 bolts from top of fan housing attached to truck frame.
Pull condenser and fan housing up and out together. (no need to discharge ac, leave ac hoses attached to condenser)
Remove the 4 screws from the fan housing. There are 2 on each side.
You will need to cut an area of the fan housing that's will alow you to remove condenser from fan housing where the top ac plug is attached.
Unplug fan motor.
Remove old fan housing from condenser.
To install the replacement, repeat the previous steps backwards.

Default A/C blows hot

Thanks for the info - I started with the cheapest fix - a $10 relay. A/C works like a champ! The old one was junk, you could see it was visually burned - shot

Thanks all,

Default YouTube Video

I know this has already been answered, but this video and the pt 2 on the same YouTube link walked me straight through the same problem and solution.

Besides, I am a visual learner.
