Default Fan clutch reverse thread?

Hey all,
I'll be replacing the water pump on my '99 360 tonight. I read through the DIY and it mentioned that on some years the fan clutch was reverse threaded. Is this true on a '99? Thanks in advance.

Don't know if it helps, but I just changed the water pump in my 2001 318 two days ago while doing the Hughes plenum-pan repair. I figured it was a good time to do the water pump while I had easy access.

The fan mounting threads were a standard right-hand thread (righty-tighty, lefty-loosy) and I used a 1.5" wrench on the nut. The wrench was a little big but it worked fine.

For curiousity, I checked on the Advance Auto parts website for water pumps specified for 1999 and 2001 Rams. The pumps had the same part numbers for both years and both engines (318 and 360). I think you can probably assume all the threads are right-handed threads.

96 5.9 the bolts for the fan are righty tighty, the clutch itself though is righty loosy.

Thanks for the replys, turns out its lefty loosey. I also noticed that the DIY said to remove the accessory bracket and all that stuff, why? All I did was take the fan shroud, fan, and fan clutch off and the water pump was right there out in the open.
