Default 99 Durango, new PCM still stalls

Ok, here goes. I bought my Durango back in March. It ran fine. Now when I sit and idle for 5-10 minutes it dies. It done this while driving down the road the first time. The odometer read "NOBUS". I bought a new PCM took it to Dodge and had it flashed. Now it is doing the same thing except the "NOBUS" doesn't read in the odometer unless you just turn the key forward without trying to actually start it. It will blink the odometer reading 4 times and then read "NOBUS". This is starting to be a huge problem. I don't have the money to keep just throwing at random parts in hopes that it will fix the problem. Any ideas and suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for any help.

could be a loose connection going to the gauge cluster, or at the pcm itself

btw we can help you more quickly if you post in the 1st gen section, ill put this one there for you

when you say you bought a new PCM and then had it flashed...does this mean you bought a refurbed PCM or is this something directly from the Dodge dealer and is OEM or what...??

its true that stalling can be due to the PCM - my 99 had this and so do many people after about 5 years for the 99 year, but it must be replaced with a brand new one from Dodge if you want to be belt and braces

It is a refurbished one bought from a parts store. I only took the vehicle to Dodge to have it flashed.

i would not have gotten a refurbished PCM PERIOD!!!!!!!

that is not something you take chances on, check E-bay for a NEW one, it will come pre flashed so you can just plug it in and drive away.

Yup,

Ebay sells a new one pre-flashed and ready for direct install for like $200 shipped.

I think I will take this one back to the store and get a refund. It's not doing any good just sitting in the driveway. Thanks for your help. I will check into ebay and see what I can come up with.

So what does the four flashes mean then no bus? My 2000 ram 3500 is doing the same thing!
