Default Turbo whistle

Hey there all you diesel owners, Just got back into the cummins, I am picking up my 2010 3500 in a couple of days.
How can I get the turbo whistle to be louder than it is at stock?
I am going to be putting on an MBRP filter back dual exhaust set up soon after I pick up the truck, not sure on the muffler delete though.
I am giving up my 2009 ram 1500 which sounds super mean with the mufflex muffler set up on it, I just want to get the cummins to sound just a mean.
Any help would be great
Thax in advance.

Remove the silencer ring on the turbo. I think there is a post on here under DIY section showing how to do it.

Get yourself a good intake - S&B is my preference. One of these days I'm going to get their ram air do-hickey for it.

Oh, short of that, pull the intake pipe off your turbo and take the huge plastic piece out of the center. The silencer ring - from my understanding - isn't like the one on the 5.9, it's pressed in. Don't try to remove it. Your '10 might be different than my '08, but if you pull the intake pipe off you should see a substantial restriction in the pipe, designed to make it quiet.

Thanx for all your responses.
I was wondering if the 6.7 would be allittle different than the 5.9's.
Once she is home I will be pulling the intake pipe and looking for the baffle.

Gotta make her sound as mean as she is going to look.
Thanx again all.
Once she is home, and I have a few of the external mods done I will be posting up some pictures.

pulling all the baffles out of the intake pipe produces a bit more whistle, a drop in performamce filter will help some too but a complete intake is the best if looking for more whistle, and the slincer ring can be removed but its a real PITA, there are 3 dowls that have to be drilled out and its not fun, for the exhaust... the filter back wont do very much for you, but if you want to go louder you can get a programmer to turn off the emmissions and remove the filter and cat, but that about the only option, and if your able to get away with it in your area

Since you've got a 2010, you can turn off the EGR with a programmer and not bother with removing everything. I'd highly recommend it. I don't think Cummins has released any longevity specs since the 6.7 came out, but the new Duramax will last 200k miles before needing an overhaul, according to GM. 200k. That's thanks to the EGR in large part.

Anyway, look up H&S performance. S&B filters are better than K&N as well.

Wow, 200k, so by shutting down and removing the EGR I should get even better, since I won't be blowing all that soot back into the intake, right...or am I thinking of the wrong thing.
When I had my 06 LBZ Duramax I put in an EGR blocker plate, i couldn't believe how much crap had built up on the intake from all that soot.

Exactly... the EGR fills your engine with soot, which isn't good for oil life, cylinder wall/ring wear, or anything.

The guys at the shop I went to said they've pulled the EGR off of trucks with as few as 10k miles and there's been ~1/4" of carbon built up in it.
