Default Heated mirrors: How do I turn on the heat?

My 2010 Sport arrived with the fancy mirrors with a little "heat" emblem on the mirror surface. I've read the user manual and searched the dash, but can't find any switch to turn on mirror heat.
Does it come on automatically, or is there something I've missed?

I think that there is a little defrost sign inside the *** on the right. All you have to do is just push that.

Not sure if you have the same system that I do but my switch is under the radio combined with one of the heater controls. It has the symbol that looks like "defrost". just push the center of the round **** and it lights up and they mirror defrost comes on. I use it around here almost every morning. Just look at the picture below. Hope this helped.

Thanks; I'll try it tomorrow morning. My truck has the defrost element in the rear window and I wasn't sure if there was a separate switch for the mirrors.

Interesting that I have heated mirrors but not the back window. I found the truck on the dealers lot, did not order it. I thought most cars and trucks had heated back windows these days, and my truck is fairly well loaded.

You could get the rear window heated if you deleted the powered sliding window. I guess it would be too difficult to get power to a moving window.

Yeah, never thought of that. Hard to heat a power sliding window - do really like that feature though. Had a manual one in my F150 and only opened it once to see if it worked - in 6 years. Use the power one on the Dodge all the time.

What would be the point? Look through your rear view mirror - which one of the 3 panels are you looking through?

I have the rear defroster too....pretty sure the button turns both on. Its all or nothing I guess. I have had lots of times here where spring/fall early morning the back window is foggy just because of the inside/outside temp difference but the mirrors are clear. IMO its a bit of a waste, wear and tear wise, on the mirror heating elements in those situations where the back window is the only thing that needs clearing up.
