2000 Neon with broken timing belt
I am trying to replace the Timing Belt on my Neon and am having trouble with the right engine mount. Do I unbolt it from the frame (four 8mm bolts) or does it come apart with the large Torx screw in the center.

OK, I have it marked and unbolted, but there is a boss about 4 inches in diameter on the mount that goes into a hole in the frame that will not let me remove the mount. I have the engine jacked over about a half inch but the boss is still into the large hole. DoI need to move the engine over farther to the left?

I just did this with my 2000. I jacked the engine up very high and had to use ratchet straps to get the engine in the correct position. Now working on crank seal, water pump, tensioner, etc. while the head is at the machine shop being reworked.
Car should look/drive pretty good when I'm done. Pics to come!

I was able to get to the problem by jacking the engine after I took apart EVERYTHING on the right side of the car. I hope I can remember how to put it all together again. The problem was the water pump locked up tight. No leakage but also no rotation and thus the timing belt failed. Car was at a stop when this happened so I am hoping for a good compression check when I get the belt on.
