Default What's the difference between the ST and SLT model in a 04 Ram 1500?

Hi guys, I'm new and there's probably lots of threads on this topic already, but searching for ST and SLT came up with zero results. But I found a great deal on an 04 Ram 1500 ST v8 for $6000.

I haven't seen the truck, but the deal breaker for me was that the model is an ST and I'm not sure how much of a difference the SLT and ST model is. I've read online that the SLT model has power windows, locks and navigational options. While the ST has manual windows where you use your hands to roll them up. I'm new to Dodge Ram trucks, and want to know what else is different between the ST and SLT.

I plan on using the truck more for family camping, towing and other stuff like that.

Pictures would be great.

the st was the base model.

pretty much option free.

SLT you could get (as far as I know) pretty much the same options as the laramie edition.

If you like power everything, overhead consoles, cruise, infiinty sound system, leather blah blah blah...try searching for a laramie edition.

I would've if my truck wasn't for work

What else is different and should I get the ST? I plan on traveling a lot in it with the family. I also found a 2005 SLT ram 1500 v8 for $8500.

My 03 was a ST and my 04 is a SLT. Remembering now the ST did not have that the SLT has is
Center Seat Console
Overhead Console Display
Power Windows and Doors
Steering Wheel Adjustment
Fogs
open diff
Chrome Grille inserts

Maybe more but that's all i really recall at the moment.

I have 2008 SXT which is ST + chrome appearance package. I do have:
- fog lights
- power windows
- power mirrors
- steering wheel adjustment
I assume that the most important question here is what packages/options were added to ST.

So the ST has power windows and locks? Maybe I might go with the ST. As far as carpet, I could add those later.

Do you guys have pictures comparison?

The ST/SXT is the base model. Any of the options could be added to the base model. SLT is a higher optioned model that Laramie options could be ordered. Than the SLT/Laramie model could still have even more options added. Each truck pretty much could be ordered anyway you wanted it. I would look at the build sheet and see if it fill your needs or not.
