Default Tire pressure warning

Hello I want to first thanks everyone for the wealth of knowledge that I am learning from this forum about my new truck. OK now to my question, Due to the cooler temps my tire pressure dropped overnight to the point of triggering the dash light. I check and filled them but now I still have the light on. I know the owners manual says you have to drive over 40 mph for 15 miles (don't quote me on that) but I live in the city and over 40 for 15 doesn't happen unless I am going out of town lol. Is there a way to manually reset this or do I need to plan a road trip?? Thakns in advance!

As far as I know there is no manual reset. I have had the light kick on due to one tire being low. I filled it up and just driving around town 15-30mph, the light went out after a few minutes.
My 2009 manual states, " The vehicle may need to be driven for up to 10 minutes above 15 mph (25 km/h) to receive this information."
So it should reset even in town. If it doesn't, go back to your dealer and have them check the system

Default Same Problem

I had the same problem. The first time it happened I had a nail in the tire and after it was patched the light went off after driving for about five minutes. When my pressure dropped due to the temperature I refilled all of my tires to make sure the psi was the same and I still couldn't get the light to go off. I took it to the dealership and they had it fixed in a few minutes. They didn't mention resetting anything though so I'm not sure how they fixed it. Hope this helps.

No reset, once the PSI above the threshold the light goes out.

This means

1. You are still low in one of your tires. What PSI are you putting in? Are you using a good gauge or just trusting the gas station pump? I hate gas station pumps. Many do not put out that many PSI.

or

2. You have a bad sensor.

To bad it does not tell you WHICH tire is low. Silly engineering IMO.

On the other hand, it does force you to check ALL the pressures, which is no bad thing. My old Pacifica used to tell me the pressures in all 4 tires, which was better. If the truck is going to tell me it wants air, I'll check all of the tires.

bring all the tires up to like 35psi and it should shut off, might want to go a 1 or so over just to make sure

My 2010 shows this. In the EVIC I can scroll down to tire pressure and it shows the pressure at all four corners. It also updates within about 2 minutes of driving at low speeds.

My 2010 shows all four as well, but I noticed the warning wont quit unless they are over 35psi once the light comes on at 29psi or whatever it is.
