Default How many miles can you put on a Dodge Ram?

I know this answer will vary assuming how well you maintain your vehicle, but generally speaking how many miles can you run on these things if you take good care of it?

I have a 98 Dodge Ram 1500 V8 5.9L Magnum that has 106,000 miles on it and I just want to know the average life of of one of these guys.

Thanks,

You can run a vehicle as much as you want, it depends on you're tired of putting money into it.

Typically though (and this is a very general answer for a broad question) you should be able to get well over 200,000 until it gets impractical to repair.

I had 216k on my '94. Typically I'd say you could get 250k but it will nickel and dime you all the way. Expect to rebuild or replace the tranny though.

When the book value is less than the cost of a tranny rebuild... which a 94 is pretty damn close I'd think.

ive replaced about 60% of the parts on my truck.....it may nickle and dime you, but IMHO, its worth it, these trucks have great power, great pulling power, great looks, easy to work on, and overall its a comfortabl truck to drive....ill never get rid of my ram....i plan on getting a Cummins MegaCab once the wife and I have another child, then my current ram will be my mud truck...

i beat the **** out of my truck off-roading...yea ive ran into problems, but nothing that i havent been able to fix. once you rebuild your tranny though you should be good, ive overheated my tranny 5 times, took on water and drove home 12 miles with it slipping, and not comming out of first, and ive ran it with no fluid when a line blew.....my tranny still shifts perfectly, just keep up on fluid/filter changes.
