Default 2008 4.7 Spark Plug Socket?

Hello everyone,
trying to change the plugs on my 08 Ram 4.7 and have discovered that a regualr socket will not fit in the head. i searched the boards but saw no mention of this, anyone have any ideas or know the snap on number if there is a special tool?

im pretty sure its just a standard 5/8" deep socket.....and a couple of extentions

Just bought a 5/8 socked and it won't fit in thw whole, it seems like there is a sleeve in there that is the same size. Is something different on the flex fuel motor?

you could always try a 12 point 3/8" ratchet and a 5/8"s socket... there side walls tend to be a bit smaller then the 6 point 5/8''s

Default 2008 4.7 dakota spark plug socket

For any body who is interested, I found a spark plug socket that will fit. After trying just about everything, I finally tried one that was at Home Depot. It comes in a set of 3 spark plugs socket and it fits perfectly. Hope this helps. If you need a part number or skew let me know.

It is the husky set.. .just picked one up at home depot. The standard 5/8 spark plug socket doesnt fit my 2008 4.7L 1500. The difference is minut...but atleast it fits!
