Default Door Adjustment

Does any one know how to adjust the doors on a 2001 Dodge Ram extended cab?

What is the problem that you need to adjust it? If it is sagging, pins and bushings might help.....

Washers can be used to adjust most things.

Shouldn’t have to grind anything.
Where does it stick out at along the fender, along the cab where the latch is,
or along the top of the window?
Depending on where it sticks out different ways to adjust.

It sounds like it is an after-market door that isn't quite right

I dont want to have to grind anything and its not aftermarket. It sticks out on the edge near the mirror on the door, towards the front of the truck.

Thats not an easy spot to adjust, you can try and lossen off the top hinge bolts and try moveing the door in with the top hinge adjustment, or you can respace the top of the fender that may also help. Doors are heavy and if you get them out of wack they can be a pita to get back to the right spot. Mark all your original hinge spots before you move them. Can you post a pic of the spot?

Was this door always like this or did something happen to it, like get forced open by the wind or by someone leaning on the door?
And does the upper part of the door (aka: the glass frame) seal properly?
Is the door pushed out all along the front edge of the door? is there any possibility of getting us a picture of it to see what exactly what is wrong. I am thinking that the door hinges may be out of adjustment (most likely) or something is bent.
