Default No power to back door.

I have a 2003 ram 1500 quad cab. The problum I am having is there is no power going to anything in the drivers side rear door. The lock, speaker, and the light will not come on when the door is opened. Is there a fuse or something for the door? i took the boot off of it and the connector looked fine and was not caroded or anything. I unhoocked it and hoocked it back up a couple of times but still nothing. Any ideas on what maybe it could be? Thanks for any help.

The lock and the dome light are all apart of the door latch assembly. Most people do find it to be a broken wire in the door but other find it to be a bad latch assembly. I had to replace the drivers side front door latch in mine. However, that latch has nothing to do with the speaker. Are you sure the speaker works?

The window in the door also works...Most of the time but from what im reading that sounds like a common problum with the windows. Is the broken wires that some people find in the boot because i did not take that all of the way off when i looked at it so maybe thats a possiblity.

Thanks

Its defiantly a broken wire, I have an 03 as well and the same thing has happened to my back driver side door since it gets alot of use when I put my back pack there.

They used a heavier 12 gauge wire for the windows so thats why those still work but a smaller 16-18 gauge wire for the rest of them, so after so long they all start breaking.

Pretty simple fix just takes some time and patience. If you can solder all the wires and use heat shrink tube to seal them up. Do it right the first time and you wont have to deal with it again. I learned that the hard way by just using crimp connectors the first time and they broke after a year about, so finally took the time to do it right a few months ago and everything works as it should. Hope this helps
