Default Connectors on Engine Cooling Fans Stuck!

I have a 2001 Grand Caravan and I'm changing the radiator.

Anyone know the trick to getting the cooling fan electrical connectors off without breaking them? I took the red interlock clip off and that seemed to do nothing. They are stuck and I'm afraid they are going to break if I apply more force.

Any help appreciated.

you pull the red lock and then depress the "release" on the end of the connector. Sometimes you have to push the connector on more while pressing the release button to get it to let go.

Thanks but I can't find any flexible plastic pieces on the connector to depress. Can you advise me whether the release button is near the wires or the other end?

I would say it is nearer the wires than the front. It should be right behind where the lock was.
