Default wet floor mystery driving me nuts

windows all rolled up, no visible leaks inside the cab/window trim fine. the floor gets wet UNDER my rubber mat, no water ontop of the mat. only happens when it rains. how is water getting soaked from underneath even when I dont drive it in the rain????

i should add its on the driver side only, right were my right heel rests when its on the gas pedal. parked on level ground.

rained in the middle of the night, go out in the morning and its wet. i dont get it.

Your HVAC drain tube is cracked or disconnected, is my guess. When I worked for the DOT, one of the state jeeps did the same thing, only it was very noticeable. It would drip on your foot while driving in the rain. Annoying as hell...

mine is similar but on the passenger side and i was told that the cowl maybe plugged and hit it with alot of water to flush it out but i guessing you pull it apart and see if you can find a leak trace the wet spot. im sure its going there as it runs down the floor pan

I love when you can find it without using a bag of flour! If you need a bag of flour to find the wet spot ...... she's probably too fat.

think of a roof leak in the house...water can get in anywhere then it runs down rafters and such and you see the leak come through clear on the other side of the house....maybe something similar, it is running down there during the rain and somehow wicking up from a hole in the floor board, or a small crack, rust area? I'd get up underneath with a strong flashlight or pull the carpet back and check the floor.....

it cant be comming from the top b.c the floor mat is dry. but then i am baffled on how it comes from under when im not even driving. ill take a look tomorrow. but last time i looked, the only thing in that area was a heat shield from the exhaust.
