Default HELP! Truck stalling after full tank of gas...

I have a 2004 Ram Hemi 5.7 4WD. I have owned it 2 yrs and the last 6 months when I fill tank from empty to full with no topping off tank the engine dies at a stop for about first 20 miles. If I drive on highway without stopping after fill up it does not do this. Truck has no codes and a tune up recently with 102,000 miles on OD.
Thanks!

Also will add that I changed EGR and took off and cleaned a very dirty throttle body when this started 6 months ago with no change.

This has been happening to my 04 ram 1500 as well. i dont know why. i have new throttle body, apps, and new pcm that is up to date. check your air filter, as simple as it is it has helped reduce the frequency of my stall outs. could be a tcm issue, or even a torque converter problem

I swear I've seen a thread about this on here or *&%^ @#!$. If you search you might be able to find it, not sure if he found a solution though. Good luck getting it fixed.

Do you get gas from the same place all the time?

yeah there are a few threads about this here. some have found fuel overflowing or getting sucked into the evap can and causing the issue.

I would try a different station just to see if it still does it. A guy I work with said his will do the same thing depending on where he gets gas from

I've seen this come up a couple of times and in every case before, the person ran out of gas and the truck died. From then on, whenever the tank got like below 1/8 tank and they filled it, they had the stalling issue.

I don't think I've ever read where a solution was found. I know one guy posted a while back he just makes it a point to fill up from half a tank and it never stalls...

I was gonna say gas cap or tank vents, try running it without the gas cap once? Pick a day that isn't too dusty
My other idea would be fuel pump if it commonly appears after the tank is run dry.

My two shots in the dark
