Default Alarm goes off when unlock is pressed

Every time I hit the unlock button on my key-fob the horn starts going off and the lights flash. When I pull the horn fuse the alarm doesn't go off. I work at a used car dealership and I'm wondering if the signal from the other fobs confuse my trucks signal. Also I'm wondering if for some reason my truck get too hot sitting an the sun and gets a mixed up signal when i try to unlock it after work. Any thoughts or suggestions would be helpful

somebody else said it'll do it after you hit lock 3 times (which i can confirm), but other than that...

Does the alarm go off when you put the key in the door?

Mine does, yes. Only the fob will open it silently. Unless i hit lock 3 times, then the alarm will go off regardless of unlock method.

The other key fobs from the vehicles at the used car dealer very likely do not have anything to do with this problem. If anything, they would only block the signal from your fob to your truck, causing your fob not to work at all. This sounds to me like there is a problem with the factory keyless/alarm, which is an internal part of the Central Timer Module. You might try unplugging the CTM for a few minutes, then plug it back in, see it that resets the alarm module, and try the fob again.

Wish this was around when my parents had this car. We had that same problem for years.

The first time I tried to unlock the door with the key the alarm didn't go off but the next 2 times it did. I will try to unplug the CTM and see what happens

Mine does that. Know idea why.
Sometimes, to lock it, I hit the button while
walking away,.. I won't hear it chirp. Of course
I then hit the button again,.. Nothin. no chirp.
Hit the button a THIRD time and there it goes!
The alarm goes off! But, what is happening I think,..
Is that each of the 2 prior times that I hit the button,
the alarm is really being set. (Because, I can look into
the truck & see the alarm-light on the dash blinking).
The third hit of the button sets it off. So, sometimes it
chirps while setting the thing. Sometimes it doesn't.
But, it's always setting it reguardless.

I unplugged the CTM last night and let it sit for awhile, plugged it back in and today the alarm didn't go off. I'll see what happens on Monday. Hopefully that will work.
