Default 2000 2wd front wheel bearings

so i started to change the wheelbearings today on my 2wd truck. got the hub off and the snap ring off the hub, but just can't seem to get the bearings out of the hub. Am I missing something here?

I know you can buy a hub with wheel bearings already in it, but it's like 130 bucks, I'd rather just replace the bearings, can go to the local bearing place and pick them up cheap (if I can get them out).

will both bearings come out of the back of the hub? that was why I did not press them out yet, usually one race goes in from the back, and one goes in from the front.

i thought the 00-01 2wd used a similar non-servicable hub bearing as the 4wd. look up the replacement part and see if you get a picture.

Pretty common design for most hub/bearing units these days. Cool, thanks for the pic. Useful info there.

How much was the bearing? And are the replacements you got gonna work right?

don't have any replacements yet. autozone and other parts stores offer unit hubs as well as individual bearings. none of the pictures I have found look like that with the double bearind race thingy, lol. I wonder if they do away with the double thing, or if it is just a stock picture online.

the two bearings are timken with part numbers, so I know I can get them no problem, as for the double race, I can't find any part numbers going to take it to my bearing guy in town and see what he says. or if he can look it up.

maybe he can do something for you.
rockauto lists a non-servicable hub assembly for about $120 each.
