It's not just a different paint job. It was a 1 year and 1 year only pickup, instead of the typical 360 as was in the lil red express, most were equipped with a 440.

Thanks. I like both the red/black. Anyone know how thick the wood siding on the bed sides was?

It wasn't very thick. Maybe 2 inches thick or so. I rebuilt a 79' Lil Red Express about 20 years ago. Someone made new wood slats for me for the sides (the originals were rotted) But they weren't very thick at all. Neither were the originals.

A little info on the Midnite here. I've seen a couple myself. It's just a L'il Red...in black.

Well Yes it is almost like the Red"Express", but I believe it cam w/440 Cu" engine while the Red had the 360 Cu" engine. I think the rest of the trucks were the same, except for the engines. I maybe wrong and have confused the Black w/the Warlock but there is info on the internet about all 3 models.
