Default headlight lens restore
i noticed my fogs and one driving light is fogged up...whats a good product to use to fix this?

I used the kit made by turtle wax. 10 bucks and they look like new.

Ive heard people get good results from the 3m kit which is almost 20 bucks. But theres others out there that can fit the bill. Im personally looking for sumthin as well for my gf's car.

They all really do the same thing. I have used just about every single one and my personally preference is to use mothers. It may be pricey but with my 18 volt drill it works wonders on mine.

i see the mothers get a good amount of good reviews. but like roller said, they all do the same thing

I've used tooth paste with a buffing wheel to clean a set of head lights on a windstar b4. Worked just as good as a kit. I hit it with some good spray wax when i was done. Looked real nice.

were they glass? i hear toothpaste takes scratches out of glass but it may take em out of a few different things. ive taken scratches out of discs with toothpaste!

The windstar had plastic lenses. It's the same as a dvd. That's where I got the idea.

Interesting! never heard of that before... I have used the $15 kit a walmart with great results. Made it look better but, still needs another round or maybe ill try the toothpaste idea.

Forgot to mention to use a spray bottle of water with the toothpaste. You could use rubbing compound too. I think that's what in the kits. If you ever colored sanded a car (wet sandpaper) it's the same thing.
