flex fuel 4.7 vs. non flex fuel
Looking at two ram 1500 pickups with the 4.7 v8. One pickup has the flex fuel 4.7 and the other doesnt. Is there any major difference between these two engines? Is one any more reliable than the other? Or produce more or less power?

Less power if you use E85. The same if you use real gasoline. The Flex-Fuel unit has slightly different fuel lines, seals and so forth. Probably more differences. Is there any E85 in your area? If not, it won't matter. If so, you can use it.

What year is it? The '08 4.7 flexfuel makes considerably more power (when not using e85) than previous years. It's basically a "mini-hemi".
