2500 Coil Springs on 1500 2wd
Hey guys
ive been looking at putting a set of the 2500 coil springs on the front of my 2001 1500. its 2wd but i think it will be cheaper than to just put some coil spacers? someone correct me if im wrong. but i want the front higher than the back to give it the baja loook.
The question is.... are the springs a direct fit? can i just take out my old springs and put the new ones in. i would think i need an alignment but should everything bolt rght in with out major modifications?

A member here had some 4x4 Diesel coil's that I wanted to buy for the same reasons, to level the front end. It was advised that it may not work, and I didn't wanna be a guinea pig and find out.

2wd springs will all interchange (except maybe the solid front axle springs). You'll get like 3/4" from gas springs and at least 2" lift from V10/diesel springs (the ride will be terrible).
I have a set of diesel springs for sale, they made the ride too harsh. I bought them new off RockAuto on a clearance special for $45. Don't let a junkyard rip you off!

They made the ride incredibly bad. I also needed to buy the 8800# GVWR shocks because the standard shocks wouldn't dampen the springs (ie. my truck would bounce).
I live in AZ so anytime off road is primarily on rock so maybe I had more occasion to notice the ride difference. Maybe the 4x4 springs are more progressive too.
