Default Light Bulb under hood

Lifted up my hood tonight and found that my light bulb was out. Could someone please tell me the procedure in removing and replacing the bulb. I have a 2006 Ram 1500.

Much obliged.

I believe you need to purchase the whole assembly. It's stupid money at the dealer, $21.95 at Sears and I believe I've seen it for as low as $12 on ebay NIB...

since when was a service manual ever 100% right. my snowmobile service manual says there is no serviceable parts in the fuel pump but you can buy a rebuild kit for it. the manual mentioned nothing about a rebuild kit. they are in it for the money.

Believe it or not it was an option. Although many "packages" included it so most have it. But I've been under the hood of more than a couple Rams that have not had one.

The light (that I pictured above) and the wire loom kit are available all over the place and I've seen the whole package on ebay for around $20. You already have the plug, so it's not a biggie to add it...

haha I have one of those lights. I tried to replace the bulb and the lense shatterd and the prongs broke. A fine piece of engineering.
