Default where is crankshaft position sensor ?

i have haynes book on my car and there does seem to be a sensor where it states but looks nothing like the part i was given from parts store ... so i want to be sure im looking at right part ....this sensor is in back of block nearest the wall above a boot to steering ......
i took this sensor out and oil came out hole ..im assuming thats normal since the crank section should be lubed lol ...but it seems to have a flat surface which goes inside the engine compartment and a hole in center ..so does the sensor have like a nipple /plunger looking part that is supposed to be in center of this sensor?
thats the only sensor in back of engine and Haynes has no other sensor listings anyplace else...

sorry 2004 dodge stratus 2.4 DoHC and VIN marking X

i just went and double checked and confirmed theres nothing there ..also the harness that comes from the ignition coil than goes in 3 directions ...1 goes to camshaft sensor (changed it) 1 goes to exhaust under floorboard front seat ..and the 3rd wire in that harness goes to the sensor i removed ...but like i said looks nothing like what im being shown on any picture at all

i also just noticed in another site ..they stated the crankshaft position sensor is below starter in front ...there is a sensor there ..but gonna be darn hard to get outta there lol ...could this be the beast and any suggestions on removing it ....i also read another person had same issue as me ...car wont start ..no spark to ignition coil and they said their timing belt jumped a tooth ...coulkd that do it ...my car started and ran less than a minute and stalled and hasnt started since ..wife said it started rough but we took it as it was cold ..below freezing ...it was sputtering ...than stalled
