Cracked exhaust manifold
Hello,
I recently started getting an intermittant check engine light. The code came back as a #8 cylinder misfire. Looking over the engine I ran across this.
This is a 98 Dodge Ram 1500 5.9l Magnum. Is this a common problem on this model?

Yeah I already changed the stock manifolds out for some headers.

Well I went ahead and bought a Flowmaster cat-back, plenum repair kit, new NGK O2 sensor, MSD 8.5 plug wires, NGK iridium plugs, Harland Sharp 1.7 rockers and Superchips programer to go with the new Gibson headers. So I guess I will keep the truck for a while. :-)

The truck is in very good condition with 108k miles on it.
I do not drive the truck daily to work and am doing a little bit at a time. I now have the plugs, wires, headers, and rockers installed. I hope to get time to do the intake kit install today.
