Low Beam Headlights - H11 to H9 Bulbs
Hi guys, has anyone tried the simple mod of replacing the H11 halogen bulbs with H9 bulbs? It is a simple mode which results in a brighter low beam.
H11 produces 1350 Lumens whereas the H9 produces 2100 Lumens, 55% more light.
here is a good reading:

The bulbs are designed for different lenses and reflectors for proper beam pattern. Just because there are more lumens doesn't mean there will be more quality light on the road!

I swapped my H11 low beam bulbs with H9 Philips from Amazon for $7 each. H9 bulbs are brighter with no glare. I’m very happy with this mod. I didn’t go with HID because HID on reflectors is useless in my opinion.
I’ve started with swapping the passenger side headlight for comparison purposes. Here are the pictures with passenger side with H9 and driver side with stock H11.
Driver side alone – Stock
Passenger side alone – H9 bulb

With halogen, it's not that big of a deal, especially since the bulbs share the same design and most likely have the exact same focal point. Plus, he's still almost 1400 lumens under what an HID bulb produces.
