Antifreeze spraying under radiator! Help!!!!

Crap!!
Water pump busted, would this cause the truck to run rough? Also it won't start now. Will the busted water pump do that? Or did something maybe get wet that wasn't supposed to?
There is water in the overflow tank, but the radiator was bone dry. I poured water in and it leaked out, that's how I came to the conclusion the water pump is busted, is this a correct assumption?
Should I still check the heater core?
How do I check for a cracked head or gasket?
If I have the codes read will that tell me?
Also there was no oil in it.

ok a couple of things here, a bad water pump can cause a leak, but will not always.
where did the water leak out of the truck? this will tell you where to look, just because the coolant leaked out does NOT mean the water pump is bad.
a bad water pump would not cause it to run rough, but wet coils plugs or other sensors could
CEL codes will not tell you a cracked head or blown gasket
no oil in the truck can cause ALOT of problems including rough running issues, you may have destroyed your engine running it w/o oil or coolant in it.
overheating an engine (pegging the temp gage) is likely to have blown a head gasket or worse (cracked heads), you need to take them apart to determine which has happened, you can determine which cylinders have the problem with a compression test.

I'm not giving up and I don't have a credit card or blank check and I've been meaning to learn how to do this anyway.
So should I start with the compression test to check for a cracked head or gasket, is this the worst that could be wrong with it?
The water is leaking right in the front in the very middle.
