Ignition control module
Hello, i am new to the forumn I have a 1990 d 150 with a 5.2 i love this old truck but im having an issue driving down the road sometimes it will die but will start right back up other times when driving it will cut out like it lost power then starts going again so far ive replaced fuel filter fuel lines fuel relay ive put new distribtor cap new wires new platinum plugs the mechanic put a new fuel injector they cant seem to find the problem says he thinks its in fuel delivery but no codes did somne serches and it says to check the ignition control module so i went and bought it but i cant find it anywhere in my engine also bought a new coil also which i will have the mechanic install can anyone tell me where the ignition control module is on my 1990 d 150 with a 5.2 automatic also some days it will run fine then some days ill be driving it will cut out then kick back in they say fule pressure is fine engine starts right up idles then every so often it will die is this the right ignition control module?

You will not find that part under the hood of your truck. That is for a earlier model year.
The module on your truck is inside the distributor.
Did they happen to drive down the road with the fuel pressure gauge hooked up to see if just prior to it cutting out you lost pressure? You could have one or more of several known issues.
Bad grounds, poor connections, failing dizzy, etc. There was also a TSB from Dodge in those years detailing problems with the rubber fuel hose inside the tank becoming cracked and porous.
