Intermittent start issue.
Hello Gentleman.
I have been a lurker of these forums for a few years. I finally needs some help. You guys are a very knowledgeable bunch of people so i hope i may find the answer i am looking for.
OK, so i have a very intermittent starting issue with my truck.
Once in a blue moon the truck will NOT turn over or start. It has happened about once maybe every other month. So it's not a persistent problem.
Now i replaced the starter, battery, battery terminals and both battery wires, IAC, TPS, CPS, Ignition switch, Distributor, cap rotor, plugs and plug wires within the past 6 months.
When i turn the key to the on position, the annoying dings are there; all of the dash lights up as normal. Now when i try to turn the truck over i will only get either a half turn of the starter or it won't even crank. After persistently attempting to turn the truck over it will start as if there is nothing wrong.
I am not getting NO BUS on the dash, nor am i getting any CEL codes. I took it to Dodge to maybe see if they could find something wrong with their diagnostic tools. They were unable to find a Single problem.
I am completely lost on this one. So if you guys have any input i would really appreciate it.

Another thing to do is clean the battery terminals. A bad connection will make it barely crank, then nothing or just start off with nothing when you turn the key.
I've been hit by that once and my brother in law has gotten hit by it three times. A couple minutes of attention with a pocket knife and it's good to go.
The stock band style battery connections tend to get eaten alive by battery acid, I went with lead because I believe they're better.
A bad coil wouldn't make the starter not respond to a key turn.

I thought the same thing 10 years ago, replaced the coil because it crapped out and my intermittent no start(with the same symptoms) went away
not science or reason, just a result

OK, thanks for the replies so far.
The coil was done, i did that the same time i did the ignition switch and the tune up.
The battery and terminals are new and have conductive grease on them.
I will try the column tilt next time i have this issue and see if that has any effect.
No its a Manual, NV3500. I added my signature after i posted this so just read below for my trucks info.
