6-8 in town if I rod the snot out of it, 8-10 if not, 10-12 highway. 12 if I cruise at about 60 (doesn't happen much).

360, a727, 4.10s, 35x12.50s, cam, carb, intake, headers, 3" out. No cats from the factory.

Better mileage? higher air pressure in the tires, softer foot pressure on the gas.

The 85 gets 8-12 depnding on how I drive and it gets 15-17 on the highway, 410 sure grip with a 833 gets about 2500 rpm at 70 so I'm happy.
360 30 over kb pistons molly rings with 10.3/4 to 1 comp.

I have a 1988 dodge ram with a TB and a 318, i put on a larger air filter, an edelbrock performer and headers, and it took me from about 16 to 18mpg, and sometimes on the highway i get about 20... Its a truck though, I bought it to be a truck, not a cruiser, I am going to pull the computer soon and put on a 4bbl carb, so thats all going to go away.

1988 B250, I can get about 20-25 miles on highway speed, with load on the machine about 15-18 depending on how heavy the load is. I bought this for a puller and frankly im surprised it's so cheap to drive

My '82 Dodge D150 P/U is getting around 10 MPG right now (Slant 6, 225 cu. in., 3.7L), but then again, I'm missing a part or two that may help with that. Since it's a pickup, my dad always told me to drop the tailgate when I'm going to drive for a bit, cuz that's s'pose to help with the gas mileage.

Not always - my '03 ranger (3.0 v-6, 5 spd man.) was driven round trip 90+ miles a day on the interstate for a year and a half. Dropping the tailgate/taking it off actually made it WORSE!! Got around 19 with it off, can get 22 with it on. Go figure...

My '89 Ram gets 16 at 70mph, about 18 at 55mph. Abysmal in town (especially with the air on). Has 2.7's in the rear. No mods other than true dual 18" glasspacks and K&N. It'll fly - beaten several 350 chevys from 55 on, but from dead stop a 4020 John Deere can smoke it HA HA

its not true tho, they did a deal on myth busters that proved the theory wrong. you get worse mileage w/ the tailgate open cuz the friction of the air going over the entire bed rather then the whirlwind of air the bed makes.
