Default HELP! 2013 Durango Battery Location?

I feel like an idiot, but i just bought a 2013 Durango last week, but there is no information anywhere in the owners manual or on any Dodge website (that i can find) that tells you where the battery is located!

Please help! I need to disconnect the battery to change the radio/headunit and i'll be darned if i cant find the battery in the engine compartment...

Please help a poor frustrated old man...

Thank you!

Nevermind, i called a dealership service dept and found out. ITS UNDER THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT. Which is, of course, the most obvious effing place to put a battery in a vehicle.

Unhappy

Actually, i DID do a quick search - i typed in Durango Battery Location into the search tool on this site and found nothing. Maybe i just didnt use the right keywords.

I also did a couple of google searches, and again nothing states where the battery is located in the vehicle. Give it a try, see what you find - the only thing google gives you is a link back to my original post.

Have a good day.

I like that is uner the passenger seat, makes it easy to tap into for stereo power wire, I put a second battery under my driver's seat as well.

I was surprised about the battery location but it's not a bad idea. Keeps it out of the engine compartment heat. For grins I decided to take a look. I moved the pass seat all the way forward. From the back seat I can get my fingers under the flap of the cover. But the cover will not pop off. Before I try to force it (and most likely regret it), can anyone tell me if the cover will pop with "persuasion"? Thanks.

When I tried to remove the cover for the first time, it definitely took more effort than I would have thought - so much so that I was afraid the cover would snap or crack off (but it didn't!).

Thanks. If it breaks I'll blame you. Just kidding.

It didn't break. But I would hate to have to put the new battery in.
