Default Hypertech Interceptor - 2011-2013 Durango's!

Hypertech’s Interceptor is a smart technology design that works with today’s generation of complex engine computers. The Interceptor easily mounts under the hood of a vehicle and plugs into the factory harness to constantly monitor the vehicle’s functions. The Interceptor then automatically recalculates the factory’s computer performance calibrations with legendary Hypertech Power Tuning. This means more horsepower and torque, quicker acceleration, better driveability, and improved MPG.

Definately sick but not at that price... YIKES!! Read this thread from about page 32 on.. good reviews, relatively cheap at $305, easily removable, doesn't change parameters in the pcm so no dealer issues if you take it out prior to service visits. It's limited in some regards but that might nopt be a bad thing.

Thanks for the link. From what folks are saying the difference they see using the hypertech is really all I wanted to do - get all my other mods working together. And I like the idea of just unplugging it when I need to.

Kind of a generic response, but t least they responded quickly.

"Hello,

I am interested in this tuner for my 2012 Dodge Durango 5.7. I have had
tuners in the past that I can manually tweak parameters and change tunes
on the fly. I'm assuming that this is a canned type of tune which is not
a problem, but what octane should I run with the tune? What about towing
or shift points? Are there separate tunes for 87/91/93? Any other
information would be great!

Thank you for offering a performance tuner for the Durangos!"

"There will be two main components; the Inceptor Controller installs
under the hood and connects to the Cam sensor, Map sensor & Air Intake
sensor. The Interceptor Accelerator Controller installs under the dash
above the accelerator pedal. The installation will take approximately 30
minutes to complete, very simple to install.
Both Controllers use Hypertech's Smart Technology that works
with today's generation of complex engine controllers. The Controllers
then automatically recalculates the factory's computer performance
calibrations with Hypertech Power Tuning, this means more horsepower and
torque, quicker acceleration, better drivability, and improved MPG.
This is the same Power Tuning that is used with the Max Energy
Programmers for the earlier model vehicles. You'll be able to use
regular or premium octane fuel as you like, the Controllers will
automatically make the optimal adjustments.
There are no user adjustments and it does not affect the
transmission but is completely safe when towing. "

No specifics about HP and TQ gains....but its better than stock

Good info bro, I believe they have a dyno chart on the site from a '11 Ram 1500... I'm waiting to hear back from Dennis at DD on pricing!

funny Ive had this item in my ebay watch list for at least over a month but when I
checked it out i had assumed it was either BS or just not that great since nobody
was talking about it here, and Figured if diablo and S-chips had nothing available how can
hypertech (which I had never heard of) be legit..

I also didnt like that it requires you to go under the hood and plug/unplug
a harness, was hoping for a handheld device with vehicle feedback and options.
But if it works, and gains are real, its not like I have any ither choices today... zero actually for my 2013 ..says 2013 Durango, shows dyno for a RAM 5.7 Hemi.
So I may have to look at this again...Let me know what you think if you
buy one...
