Default How do I remove the outer rear tail lamp

One of the bulbs blew. I need to remove the outer most rear tail light, the one on the quarter panel. With the liftgate open I see two push pins there that I removed, but something is still holding it in.

I found this post https://dodgeforum.com/forum/3rd-gen...go-2012-a.html .

It would be nice if there was more detail for outer step #2. Locate where?

Do I need to completely or only partial remove the inside panel? If so, where do I start prying first? Are there any screws that need to be removed on the inside first or do I just start pulling or prying?

I thought it was just the 2 push pins and then tilt it to the outside. I thought it had a tab on it that locked into quarter panel

Wait until you have the pleasure of the ones on the lift gate! I just had my passenger side go out, so while I had it apart, I replaced both sides with LED's. Hopefully they last a long time.

Honestly, they were the direct replacement bulbs Autozone had when I was there getting a code read. I got the 4 LED Red set and they look a darker red than the OEM, but also brighter. I am replaceng the outer tails next. They also had a 10 or 12 LED red for those. Best part was I think they were $12 for the 4 of them. I'll see if I can find the package and post the brand.
