Yes what do you mean exactly about the reflector housing. Im shopping for headlight housings and Id like to leave HIDs as an option for the future

Would these lights work with a HID kit?

You can put in HID's in any housing you want. But all vehicles that come with HID's as stock have whats called a projector housing. It means that there is a cutoff line and everything under that line is lit up. But if you were to put HID's in a reflector housing (made for halogen bulbs) it would scatter the light everywhere, blinding oncoming traffic. That's where it gets illegal. Its up to you if you want to put them in a reflector housing or not. But keep in mind there are some cops that are really starting to crack down on this because it is really dangerous. I've heard of some people get warnings, and some got around a 500$ ticket.

If you really want a smoked out housing with HID's and you don't want it to be illegal, you can do whats called a projector retro fit. Which means you buy a set of projector's (Acura TSX projector's have the best cut off line) then fit them into your smoked housings. But it does take alot of work. First you have to actually open up the housing, then mount the projector inside of it and make sure you have the beam pitched correctly. And then you have to seal the housing again so no moisture gets inside of it. In the long run it does make your truck look more unique, and you get ALOT better light output. But it does take time.

00vdub------------ I will be getting those pictures tomorrow. Been busy with school lately. Sorry it took so long.

Ok well thats some good info. Now I have to think if I want to do it. I dont want my truck to be illegal and I want 100% from the HIDs.

Anyone found a complete HID setup? Housings, bulbs and everything to get it going? Id rather spend a bit more and be legal and have it work right

You can get a full setup on ebay. Comes with the same projectors/halo rings I have. But the HID kit isn't that good. So I hear. Only costs about 200$. Keep in mind retrofits do take time and if you really want that sexy purple/blue/hyper white cutoff you need the good projectors (Stanley/Valeo/Bosch Projectors). They usually range around 200$ on ebay, for the good ones. If your looking for a custom look, look inthe the Acura Q45 Projectors. Sometimes you can get the projectors on ebay and they will include the ballast and bulb, all you have to do is retrofit them into your housing. Which includes using a heat gun or putting your headlight housing in the oven.

I'll keep looking for a setup for you and let you know if I find anything.
