These modular motors will last forever if you just take care of it.
just curious, i know they are 2 different generations, but i just did the conversion on it (as i am in canada and we measure in KMs...), my '93 3.9 has 262,800 (give or take) on it, so thats roughly 163,296 miles. but my question is, when did your 3.9 die?

Got 102,650 on mine. Only serious problem was the previous owner had to replace the tranny. Btw, what's wrong with being 15?

He was asking 9999 for it and we worked it to where my trade was originally 6000 and it turned into 7000 and his truck 9200.

Ok so I am a little confused. I have been seeing alot of stuff as far as information about 97-2003 stuff but no information about the 2004. Was there not much of a problem on the 2004's or were there no changes at all that many people miss the 04 or is it even like the Wranglers where the 1996 wasn't made and some get buy saying that they were that year model. Does this make since? I know it is an 04 with the VIN digits.

What are some of the performance mods that are good on the 4.7? Headers, intakes, computer/electronics etc.

Thank you,
