You need a small wrech (can't remember the exact size, but somewhere around 3/8 unless they went to metric by '03) to remove the driveshaft from the yoke. You need a very large, deep socket (again, I can't remember the exact size, but somewhere around 1-1/16 to 1-1/4 unless they went to metric by '03) to remove the pinion nut. A flathead screwdriver (or mini prybar) and a hammer to remove the seal. You need a hammer and a flat block of wood to install the new seal, and you need a torque wrench to tighten the nut back down. Those are the only tools required. If you have the chrysler 9.25" rear axle, the pinion nut gets tightened down to 210 ft*lbs, but thats the only one I know off the top of my head.
