Default Hemi Swap VS 5.9 Swap VS Change Heads?

Hey hey!
SO, as we all most likely have discovered, the 4.7 is really inefficient as far as "Bang-for-your-Buck" goes. Therefore, I've been considering a hemi swap, the 5.9 swap or I have also heard that changing the heads in a 318 to those of a 360 also works? Can someone confirm this true or false? What would someone recommend being cheapest and easiest to do... Roughly anyways.
Thanks!

I don't think 5.9 heads on a 5.2 are gonna do anything for you. For me it would all depend on what the truck had to begin with, how much time/money i had to throw at the project, availability of parts, etc, etc.

Hemi swap is more worth it but prob the most expensive to do you need engine tranny all the wiring harness and computer and diff motor mounts and tranny mounts

Exactly what engine do you have in your truck right now? Cause the 3.7, 4.7 and 5.7 line are completely different than the 3.9, 5.2, and 5.9 line. No engine parts, transmissions, or electronics are swappable between the two lines of engines.

If you have a 4.7 right now, swapping in a 5.2 or 5.9 would be A LOT of work. You'd need a new computer, all new wiring, new transmission, and mounts. Swapping in a 5.7 would probably be less involved, but cost a lot.

As far as 5.2 vs 5.9 heads... they are exactly the same on both engines.

I have the 4.7L sadly

I figured the Hemi would be easiest all round except on the bank...

Stupid question: would swapping the heads out of a 4.7 do much for me, would it be a lot of labor or would it not be worth it...?

Yeah, not really a whole lot of point in messing with the 4.7. by the time you built it to some decent #'s you coulda just droped in the 5.7 and probably have about the same #'s with a much more reliable engine.
