Default What's that NOISE?? (Part II)

Here's another noise question for you all.....I have a base model 2000 Dakota with a 4 cylinder and 5 speed. When I accelerate from a stop in first gear, UNLESS I give the engine plenty of accelerator and wind the engine up to about 3000 RPM, the engine is under a slight load and I hear a resulting noise that sounds a little like marbles on the bottom of a tin can. The same thing happens in 2nd gear....when I shift to 2nd and the engine is under a bit of a load, I hear that darned noise!!!! The noise seems to be directly associated with the engine being under a load in 1st and 2nd gear. Again, if I am on flat ground and apply plenty of throttle when I let the clutch out, the noise is not present.

Any ideas?
